About the event:
Successful Women in Management (SWIM) is an event organized by Great Lakes to bring together the best women leaders from the corporate world, academics and the social sector to inspire students and facilitate learning. Started in the year 2005, it is now an annual event. The objective of the event is to highlight the role of women in various realms of work and learn from their experience the art of being successful.
The theme this year is ‘Women as Transformational Leaders – Business, Politics, Academics and Society’. The objective is to bring out the unique expressive side of women – to be able to connect with their fellow mates and bring out the best in them. We explore what distinguishes the Transformational leaders from Transactional leaders and what is required for women to bring their transformational leadership skills to the fore.
The event will be presided over by none other than the Managing Director of Britannia Industries Ltd., Vinita Bali along with Mrs. Sheela Rani Chunkath, Chairman and Managing Director, Tamilnadu Industrial Investment Corporation (TIIC).
